June
27th....Clean sweep
This was a good
night of racing but the car counts were low. Only nine
street stocks were available including Paul Lease who
traveled all the way from Deer Lodge in his #07 Nova. I
started the heat race in 3rd position but worked my way
into the lead fairly early for the win. I started the
Main event in 4th place. It was a pretty slick track but
was actually a lot of fun. Pat Salway in the #66 car and
I battled side by side for the lead for quite a few laps
until I was able to pull away and take the lower lane
where I maintained a decent lead and held on for the
win. Check out the new photos I've uploaded on the photo
page.

19th....First ever trip to Belgrade
I made the trip
up to Belgrade for the first time, what a track!
Everyone there treated us great, the dirt was awesome,
the stands were full, all around a very nice track. I
finished the heat race in 2nd place behind Hank Adams in
the #77 car. I started the main in 7th place and
finished 2nd behind Mike Andersons #2 car. It was an
awesome race with quite a bit of passing and back and
forth action. Thanks to all my brothers for coming along
and helping.

June
13th.....2nd in the heat......1st in the main event!!
Saturday was an
extremely eventful night at the track. The track was so
rough and bumpy there was flat tires, broken axles and
rollovers going on all over the place. I started the
heat race in 5th place and finished 2nd behind Jeremy
Castro in the 20 car. I started the main event in 7th
position. It was a one lane track with very little room
for passing. My brother Rod led the majority of the race
in his #10 Street Stock while I slowly made my way to
the front of the pack. I finally passed Rod for the lead
with one lap to go giving me the win. My brother Troy
also won his main event in the Hobby Stock class for his
second main event win of the year.

May
23rd.....Great night at the races!!
This was a good
night at the track. I started my heat race in 4th place
on a really wet slippery track but I was able to work
myself into the lead on the first lap where I remained
to finish first. The main started off a little rough.
The track had just been watered and the bottom was
extremely slick. I started in the 7th place spot and was
trying to work my way up front on the high side of the
track when a spin out happened right in front of me that
I couldn't miss. I went head on with the side of my
brother Rods car and took on a little front end damage.
After everything was cleaned up they restarted the race
and the high lane was working great for me. I took over
the lead within a couple laps and was able to pull a
decent lead over the rest of the pack and won the race
making this a clean sweep night. My brother Troy, in the
number 8 Hobby Stock, also won his main event with a
huge lead over everyone and congrats to Dennis Hurd for
winning his first ever Modified Main event in his new
#99 car.

May
16th.....Rough night on the track
This was an
exciting night of racing. Not necessarily a clean night
of racing for a few of the guys, but exciting none the
less. I started the heat race in 4th place behind Lisa
Schmidt. By lap 3 I had overtaken the lead and held on
for the win. I started the Main event in 6th place. On
lap one I took a hard hit on the inside sending me nearly off the track and
dropping me as far back as 10th place. After a few
cautions and a lot of beating and banging I worked
myself into 2nd place finishing behind
Jeremy Castro in the 20 car.

May 9th....Opening Weekend
This was a great
night of racing out at BMP. The track was in good shape
and held the moisture most of the night. I started 3rd
in the heat race but quickly moved into 2nd position
where I remained for the rest of the race. My car was
handling great but the track was just wet enough that I
couldn't get the traction I needed to make the pass on
Pat Salway who ended up winning the heat. I started the
main event in 4th position but worked my way into 2nd
before the end of the first lap. Cory Wilder in the
number 65 was out front. I followed Cory for about ten
laps until I was able to squeeze underneath him on the
back straight and make the pass for the lead. From there
I was able to maintain the lead and take the win. I just
acquired an in-car camera that I will be playing with so
look forward to seeing those videos posted soon.

May 2nd....Test and Tune
Unfortunately I
wasn't able to put a new body on my car before the
season started. We had Test and Tune on Saturday night
and my car was right on target. All I need to do to be
ready for opening night is give it a wash job.
